About Us
The TAV Times is a student-produced news magazine based at TAV College in Montreal, Quebec. It is operated by the TAV College Journalism Club, an extracurricular program dedicated to fostering student creativity, teamwork, and journalistic excellence.
Our mission is to provide students interested in journalism, media, communications, or writing with the opportunity to gain hands-on, professional experience in producing a real publication. Members collaborate to research, write, edit, and design each issue — learning the fundamentals of reporting and publication along the way.
The magazine is published in both print and digital formats, with new issues released twice per semester — a total of four times per academic year. Our readership includes the students and staff of TAV College, as well as members of the Côte-des-Neiges–NDG community.
All registered TAV College students are welcome to join the club and may write in either English or French. New members receive training in essential journalism skills — from researching and sourcing stories to conducting interviews and structuring professional news articles.
By joining The TAV Times, students become part of a collaborative editorial team that brings campus stories to life — developing both their creative voice and their professional writing experience.
