Communications coordinators take the articles, content, and imagery that the writers and creative staff have produced and reformat/optimize the content in order to disseminate it throughout The TAV Times’ social media and information networks.
The TAV Times photographers capture the spirit of TAV College and its surrounding communities. Photographers are challenged to capture imagery that is engaging, visually appealing, and thought-provoking.
The AGD supports the Creative Director in the visual storytelling, graphic layout, and mood board concept of the issue. They will use content creation software to bring the issue into a cohesive visual theme as well as offer ideas for enhancing the graphic design of the print and digital layouts of the publication.
Responsible for designing the magazine’s front cover each semester; collaborates with editorial and design teams.
Tier 3 Administrative Staff are executive members who support the Editor-in-Chief in implementing strategic goals. Focus on upholding quality standards, guiding staff, and contributing to the creative direction of The Tav Times.
The quality assurance superstar! The Copy Editor plays the important role of proofreading, fact-checking, and editing articles before they’re published.
This role is vital to the quality and reputation of The TAV Times’ content. The CE will read articles and often constructive feedback to writers regarding areas of improvement.
Sets the tone, style, and visual aesthetic for each issue. Works alongside the Editor-In-Chief and Assistant Graphic Designer to create enhanced visual storytelling through the cohesive planning of graphic and text elements.
The second in command and fulfills the responsibilities of the Editor-In-Chief in their absence. The ME will provide executive direction to the writing and creative staff, fact-check and proofread articles and content, as well as provide constructive feedback regarding additional work that may need to be done.
The EIC’s role is to ensure that all staff members have clear objectives and are meeting these objectives, operations are running smoothly, the quality of the content is being checked, the brand is cohesive throughout all platforms, and contemplates the long-term goals of the publication. The EIC will also work alongside their creative and administrative team to recruit new writers, train new writers, and retain existing writers.
